[ The World of Elyu ]
Elyu is a planet in turmoil. To look at Elyu today is to see a collection of disparate broken realms and Kingdoms, each of which struggle with their own crisis and disasters, to say nothing of the wider threats that seek to finish what the Cataclysm began. But, there was a time. A distant time. When Gods walked the world and dueled with each other. In that beginning, there was one Realm, one Rule, one Goddess and she bathed the world in blood. Then, what was One became Two. And then Three. And so on, and so on… Soon, there were many and they all held sway over their Realms, Gods and Goddesses, tied to the lands that they ruled, creating Heaven and Hell, Chaos and Order. Warring with each other, within and without, until at last, the world was utterly broken. The Cataclysm came.
But, the world went on. Despite the fleeing of many exiles to other worlds beyond the reach of Elyu, this world persevered even as the Gods and Goddesses died, for they remained tied to the lands, even unto the end. Today, the world struggles on, poisoned and invaded, tempted and corrupted. Dying realms and dead realms alike, but there are some that still cling to life. Cities born anew, and old lands are stirring again. And, wonder of wonders, the old magics stir and beckon new Gods and Goddesses to stand forth to protect and defend the lands and peoples that they love… It is a new age of Old Power renewed. It is a time of change and Chaos and what was may yet come again, what was lost may yet be found again. But, there are those who would challenge this, for they know of the bloodshed of the past and seek to forestall a return to the days of warring Gods and their blood Champions. So, friend: Where will you stand? |
